Forgiveness and gratitude

2 things you can do for your health that aren't to do with food and exercise

I have learned, and am still learning, that it isn’t just what we eat and what exercise we do that contribute to our health. Yes of course they both affect it, but there are a number of other things that can make such a difference and boost overall wellness.

Here are two things I find that help me on a daily/weekly basis, which I hope may do for you too.

Forgiveness

Holding on to past feuds, anger and resentment of certain people or situations – all of these things, which we find ourselves re-living and bottle up inside ourselves. Perhaps you are still angry with something you or someone else did or didn’t do. Maybe you wanted something to turn out a certain way and it didn’t. Learning to forgive and let go will help you to release its hold on you, leaving you feeling lighter and more open to moving forward. Acknowledging the situation, person or even yourself and forgiving it and releasing it.

Gratitude

Being thankful for something every day will make you realise how much you actually have in life and how much you have to feel good about. The small things we take for granted such as a roof over our heads or food and water. Acknowledging and being thankful will put you in a position of fullness over lack and as a result change the way you see things throughout your day.
