Start to spring clean
Spring is finally on its way in the northern hemisphere (well it’s supposed to be). It’s a good time for clearing out what no longer serves you, also a great time to start a new healthy regime and re-introduce more light and fresh ingredients into your diet. Here are three tips to help you with your spring clean:
1. Eat a salad every day to introduce more fresh, seasonal ingredients bursting with minerals and nutrients into your diet. The more colourful and wide variety of fresh ingredients you can include the better.
2. De-clutter your surroundings and throw away or donate items of clothes, books, etc you no longer need. For some inspiration on seriously de-cluttering you should check out Marie Kondo’s book: The life-changing magic of tidying. Clearing out things you no longer need will also help clear your mind making space for anything new you want to bring into your life.
3. Start to move your body more. It’s so easy to curl up on the sofa in the colder winter months and hibernate (trust me I know). Going for a short walk every day, increasing to longer distances and a variety of exercises which you enjoy is a wonderful way to start feeling lighter and shedding any winter weight you may have gained.
