Taking some time out for yourself
We’re coming up to a particularly stressful time of year for a lot of people: the holiday season. With US Thanksgiving on Thursday and December starting next week, it’s already getting quite full on for many people I’ve spoken to.
You might be one of those people who loves this time of year and can barely contain your excitement, or you may be someone who dreads it and the thought is already making you feel anxious. Either way, here’s a little reminder to regularly take some time out for you.
We all need time to stop and chill out and do things that nourish ourselves, especially if this is a more tense time of year for you. It may be a walk when you need it, or a couple of hours where you disappear off to watch a movie or some episodes of your favourite series (this is a particular favourite of mine), as long as it’s something you want to do and that can help you recharge.
Of course enjoy the season and all that comes with it – just remember to do what you need to do too!
